Chatfield’s television projects included representing writers on Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, Generations, and Santa Barbara. In addition, His early film projects included his representation of film editors on Rambo, Commando, Top Gun, and writers on others.

David Blake Chatfield began his career as an entertainment attorney, talent manager, musician, and producer. He started two independent record companies in 1981 and his production company, Sound Image Entertainment, and studio has been the recipient of dozens of gold and platinum RIAA Awards. David has represented creators and participated in the production of music by iconic talent. Recently, when presenting David with his 35-year benchmark award from the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr, Recording Academy CEO, commented that; David is a prolific creator and we are proud of his long-time membership in the academy.”  His early film projects included his representation and management of music remixers and film editors on Rambo, Commando, Top Gun, and others. In the past year, David has amassed more than 150 music credits, 74 as a producer, 50 as a remixer, 16 as an arranger and 40 as a primary artist. In 2022 David revived his Harmony and Sound Image record labels and his 3 publishing companies. 16 Songs currently released on his labels have charted on 14 iTunes and Spotify charts world-wide and have amassed more than 4.25million streams on Spotify and YouTube. One of his artists has more than 1.6billion views on TikTok. This year David has received three #1 iTunes and Spotify Awards, a Billboard Chart Award, and two Spotify streaming awards. With a more than 24million Spotify playlist reach, David has recently released music from Jose Feliciano and John Stamos, among others. Three of his artists have achieved #1 positions on iTunes and Spotify charts. David is a 36-year member of the Recording Academy, member of the Television Academy, member of Association of Independent Music Publishers, member of the California Copyright Conference, supporter of the Grammy Museum, special advisor and member of the leadership council of G.A.T.E (Global Alliance for Transformation Entertainment) – a 501c3 nonprofit organization- founded by Jim Carrey, Eckhart Tolle and John Raatz, and David and his artists were on the first ballot for 2023 and 2024 Grammy nomination consideration. David takes pride in bringing classic music together with a modern sound creating a contemporary style/genre of music he calls “the California Sound” a blending of Northern California and Southern California musical and vocal styles. David also has successfully produced and developed artists in the modern synth-pop and new wave genres achieving the number 3 position on the Spotify 2022 year-end New Wave Chart. David is all about bringing multiple generations of music together; that can inspire and educate the next pioneers in the music industry. David is a mentor for the AIMP and the Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter where he is in the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy.
